Today is a special day! It is Sandy’s birthday. She wants to ride a huge rollercoaster at Dutch Wonderland with her friend, Dallas. But, there is a problem. Dallas is too short and Sandy is too tall to ride on the rollercoaster. They need the magic slide to help them.

• Nya Evans is a sophomore honor roll student in high school. She deeply enjoys STEM, pharmacy, and playing the French horn. As a young child, she had a love of magic, butterflies, and traveling. While in first grade, Nya entered a school book writing contest and wrote The Magic Slide. This book won first place at her school competition and it won third place at the county book writing contest. Nya’s brother, Austin, is currently in second grade and he is a fan of this book. Nya wanted to publish this book to share this magical story with other children because after all, there is magic in all of us!
